​Hon. TIM GROSER
Minister of Trade, Minister for Climate Change Issues and Associate Minister Foreign Affairs
After completing his education at Victoria University of Wellington he served as a policy adviser in a number of key Departments including Treasury, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Prime Minister's Advisory Group under Muldoon.
Groser has served as New Zealand's Ambassador to the World Trade Organization and as the WTO's chairman of agricultural negotiations. He was heavily involved in the Doha round of discussions.
​Hon. STEVEN JOYCE
Minister, Economic Development,
Small Business, Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment
Parliamentarian, Business Entrepreneur and lot more. Steven has worked and excelled in the entertainment, media, travel, education, finance and public policy sectors.
Along with two business partners, he built up RadioWorks over 17 years until, as a listed public company, it consisted of 22 local radio stations and four national radio networks.
In early 2010 Steven was also appointed Minister of Tertiary Education, where he has led changes to improve results and performance across the tertiary sector, re-launched apprenticeships and industry training, and put an increased emphasis on relevant skills for employers.
​H. E. RAVI THAPAR
Indian High Commissioner to New Zealand
Mr Thapar is an Economics graduate from India and later studied Law at Berkley, and did his Law post-graduate there.
He has served at the Indian Embassy in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, San Francisco, Surinam, and Italy. Mr. Thapar was posted as the Consul General of India in Milan (Italy) in June 2004 and then later was appointed India's ambassador to Lebanon in Nov 2009.
Mr. Thapar has handled SAARC/Pacific Divisions, Consular, passport and Visa sections, apart from Multilateral Economic Relations.
​JOHN MONAGHAN
Director, Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited
John Monaghan has been a Director of Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited following his election by Farmers Shareholders in 2008. He joined the Board with significant governance and shareholder relations experience having served for three years as Chairman of the Fonterra Shareholders’ Council.
With dairy farming interests in the Wairarapa and Canterbury and beef farming interests in Wairarapa, John is a strong believer in agriculture’s role in the economy and the community.

General Manager, Education NZ
Peter Bull has been the General Manager International with Education NZ since September 2012. He is responsible ENZ team based across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
His previous experience include senior roles with NZ Trade and Enterprise in the Americas and Wellington, and a career in the international fruit industry in NZ and overseas with Zespri and ENZA.
Peter is a graduate of Lincoln and Auckland Universities.
​RUPERT HOLBOROW
NZTE, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Economic Division.
Rupert Holborow is current head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Economic Division where a key responsibility is working with other government agencies, NZTE and the business sector to achieve the Government’s ‘2025 Export Double’ goal.
He is also New Zealand’s Lead Negotiator for the India/NZ FTA which allows him to continue to connect with a country and a people he holds in great affection.
He is absolutely committed to driving growth, wealth and enhanced productivity back into the New Zealand economy via exporting and stronger connections to the rest of the world.
AARON JENKINS
Head of Markets, NZX
Aaron joined NZX in January 2014. He has substantial experience across the financial markets and agricultural sectors.
He was previously Fonterra’s General Manager Trading Among Farmers where he designed and implemented the globally unique TAF ecosystem.
Prior to this, he held senior technology and business roles with E*Trade, one of Australia’s largest non-bank financial services businesses, and spent more than 13 years with ANZ Bank in Australia, NZ, Asia and the United Kingdom.

Director of Macroeconomic Policy and International at The Treasury, New Zealand.
Tim Ng is the Director of Macroeconomic Policy and International at The Treasury in New Zealand. A macroeconomist by training, he has extensive international experience as an adviser and thought leader on monetary, fiscal and financial system policy.
For much of his career prior to his Treasury position, he worked in a variety of leadership roles at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, including as a manager of teams covering (variously) domestic and international economic monitoring and forecasting, monetary policy conduct, banking regulation and payments system policy.
PAUL GOODWIN
ANZ, Head of Institutional Relationships.
As head of Institutional Relationships, Paul lead the team that delivers financial solutions for ANZ’s Institutional costumers across a wide range of industries operating in New Zealand and offshore.
Before Paul started in the role in 2008, he led ANZ’s finance business within Corporate Finance.
Paul has also held Corporate and Structured Finance positions with Credit Suisse in London and in New Zealand at The National Bank.

Jo Pennycuick founder of Redesign Group NZ has grown the company into an internationally renowned design practice. With offices located in India, Bahrain and Vietnam, Redesign is able to facilitate their clients needs by having local presence in the high growth regions.
Jo develops strong relationships with clients to ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest level of design and service. This is achieved by developing strong design teams in the regions which ensures that the same level of design is projected in each project.

As a senior commercial advisor, Clayton has over 24 years' experience in all areas of commercial negotiation, international trade, employment, industrial relations, health and safety, and governance.
Clayton specialises in commercial negotiation, dispute resolution and industrial relations strategy. He has a background in negotiation and dispute resolution including difficult and sensitive issues for commercial parties.

Curtis is responsible for the leadership and management of Gallagher Group’s global security systems business. Gallagher is a world leading manufacturer & vendor of electronic access control and perimeter security systems.
Gallagher has been exporting to India since 1992 and established a Joint Venture company, Ibex Gallagher, in 1994. Since these early humble beginnings, Gallagher Group in NZ and Ibex Gallagher in Bangalore have together built a successful and increasingly strong partnership selling high technology security systems to government and commercial customers throughout India.
BRETT O'RILEY
Chief Executive, Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development
Brett has worked on a wide range of start-up and major infrastructure and change projects, and developments in the ICT industry in New Zealand and internationally. He has held senior management positions for over 20 years in the private and public sectors.
This includes recent roles as Deputy Chief Executive, Business Innovation and Investments for the Ministry of Science + Innovation, and as the founding CEO of the NZICT Group which is made up of New Zealand’s leading information and communications technology companies.
He is also a member of the Innovation Partnership Advisory Board.

Spanning a 20 year career in a global sales and manufacturing company Andrew has held senior management and executive roles throughout Australia, the US and Asia.
He has opened and expanded new markets and distribution channels, created significant and profitable additional sales opportunities, secured new business partners, managed the re-location of major production facilities to Thailand and played a key role in the company’s strategic development.
More recently Andrew has been involved in establishing and incorporating Fisher & Paykel India as a leading premium International appliance brand.
DR. BILL JOLLY
Chief Assurance Strategy Officer, for Ministry for Primary Industries.
Dr Bill Jolly is the Ministry for Primary Industries’ Chief Assurance Strategy Officer.
In this role he works with New Zealand export sectors to agree MPI’s over-arching Market Access Strategy affecting certification and individual sector market access strategies and priorities.
He also is responsible for the broad relationship oversight and higher level negotiations with the Americas, ASEAN and the Indian sub-continent. In this regard he regularly travels to India and has been part of the Free Trade Agreement negotiations.
WARREN YOUNG
Collaborative Marketing Manager for Zespri International.
Warren has been an employee of Zespri International (formally known as Kiwifruit Marketing Board - KMB) since its inception in 1989. Prior to joining KMB Warren worked for 10 years for one of the licenced exporters, Auckland Export that became Challenge Horticulture.
Over the past 35 years Warren has worked in a number of operational and sales & marketing roles all associated with New Zealand Kiwifruit across a number of countries where Zespri kiwifruit is sold.
PAUL HUNT
Business Development Adviser, CMC Lmt. (India)
Paul Hunt has represented the interests of CMC in New Zealand and Australia since 2006. He provides advice and support in the areas of strategy, business development, project management and relationship management.
CMC is a Tata Group (India) company focused internationally on Systems Integration, IT Enabled Services and Education & Training.
It has a particular interest in innovative technologies and services.
Before joining CMC, Paul spent 37 years in the insurance/financial services sector both in New Zealand and overseas.
